The Homeschooling Revolution

Learning Large (as Opposed to Living Large)

Two articles I wrote about home ed were published this month. Thanks very much to those who linkity linked (or bloggedy blogged) or left a comment at the respective sites or sent a note. As to the latter ... I share the following:

Evelyn Davis, of California, writes about her son: "At the age of 11, Jorden applied to California State University's (Los Angeles) PACE program. (PACE stands for Pre-Accelerated College Enrollment.) After a trial summer quarter taking two college courses, Jorden has been admitted as a college student to CSULA.

Currently a homeschooled 8th grader, Jorden is starting, having just turned 12, the fall quarter ... He can, literally, obtain his bachelors degree before getting a high school diploma or being able to drive. We are all very proud of Jorden and excited about supporting him in his academic goals. Homeschooling is truly a wonderful way for families to live, learn, and play together."

Information about the PACE program is here.
