Being Despised, Poor, and Ignored: Blessing in Disguise
From the Bayly Blog: "If just one thing destroyed Evangelicalism, it was the knowledge gained by Evangelicals in the 1970s and 1980s that serious money could be made off conservative religion. Before the 1970s Evangelicalism was poor, despised and ignored by the elites. Since the 1970s, Evangelicalism has become wealthy -- with tragic results."
Let's hope the "corporate, professional" (or whatever you want call it when you're too favorably noticed by elites) plague doesn't overwhelm homeschooling, although the hucksters and sharks are out there.
