The Homeschooling Revolution

September 08, 2006

Cruising Through the Cultureland, Day 3

-"You shouldn't belong to a political affiliation. Everybody should be an independent. The way it is now you're hamstrung to a particular party. That's not right." - Sir Charles Barkley, former professional basketball player and current professional quipmeister.

-A homeschool-dad-pastor deconstructs a talk by a well-known televangelist on "Islamofascism." Go here. HT: DBO.

-Christian-homeschool-dad-blogger gets sued by a ministry known for attracting Reformed Christian home educators. This is a fascinating, emerging area of law and a tacky lawsuit. See 1 Corinthians 6. (Note the outcome of this landmark defamation case featuring the Rev. Jerry Falwell and Hustler magazine.)

-A Pitchfork Peasant sticks up for the working classes and is pronounced a "socialist" for his effort.

-The Dow, convert to homeschooling, isn't conned by neo-con arguments.

Update: The Kos makes the case for the "Libertarian Democrat." Real libertarians would add "homeschools" to the 'intrude in our bedrooms and churches' argument, no?

'Nother Update: File this one under 'the creepy, voyeuristic side of the Internet' (it involves a possibly fake homeschooler). HT: Drudge Report.
