The Homeschooling Revolution

August 28, 2006

Visually Speaking

The blue-collar arts: Maybe these road crew workers were using their painting opportunity to thumb their noses at their edukashun experiences.

(Originally sighted at Free Republic)

The liberal arts: In "Jesus Camp," fervent, photogenic Pentecostal homeschoolers make an appearance at the unapologetically left-wing Tribeca Film Festival. The documentary's youthful creators say that their youthful objets d'art are "smart and motivated and know what they’re fighting for." Is that patronizing or complimentary? Here's a clip.

That George W. Bush cutout thing - peculiar and unfun.

Update: Offspring of Rich, Famous, and Spoiled Camp - This ritual made the "Jesus Camp" activities seem benign.
