The Homeschooling Revolution

August 10, 2006

This is not a blog entry

And any resemblance to a real blog entry is purely coincidental.

I'm still in talks with I.B. (Inner Blogger) who has been trying to track down my Muse who has apparently fled to northern Maine to escape the Oklahoma heat.

Meanwhile, look at this slideshow of a pair of paralympians (who are also a couple) who work-out together. In an age where pity-partying will outlast raves, their joie de vivre is refreshing.

Carmon, who isn't afflicted with bloggingitis, posted an entry about another duo I admire - Team Hoyt. Rick and Dick's web site is here.

Central Okies, Bethany's best children's hospital is holding their annual "Spin Your Wheels" fundraiser this Saturday. Bring a helmet, a bike, and sunscreen. Livestrong wristbands are optional.

On Being a $40 Lawyer. Charley Demosthenous is a PD (public defender) and a former underwhelming law student with too much debt. While the latter is a major bummer, his story is so well-crafted (by the writer) that I came away thinking his academic limitations could be a blessing in his new line of work. One disagreement: Shopping at the crowd-pleasing, affordable Ross Dress For Loss is a fine idea.

Not Worthy. My son can dunk but not like this young man.

"The roving inspector general of the modern state," as James Bovard has been called, has written another book.
