Mainstream family life is no longer an option for Gregory and Jane Ludwig. They are the parents of David Ludwig, the Penn. home scholar who is charged with two counts of first-degree homicide for shooting and killing his girlfriend's (Kara Borden) mom and dad.
Inmate Ludwig, age 19, just earned his high school diploma and this article mentions that Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig remained actively involved in their son's education. From Lancaster Online: "Ludwig, who was home-schooled before being arrested for the slayings, continued to receive instruction from his parents while incarcerated.
'David wrote his papers and mailed them to his mother for corrections,' Zellers (prison instructor) said. 'After she sent them back, he would rewrite them on a word processor.' "
Tough, tough lot for this family. Note to self: Say a prayer for the Ludwigs and the Borden orphans.
