An agitated Freeper that watched the Ebert & Roeper show claims that when the new "Nancy Drew" movie was mentioned, Robert Wilonsky took a cheap shot at home scholars. Read the review of the review to learn what transpired.
Maybe the critic was paying homeschooled pre-teen girls a compliment by implying that they are more wholesome, polite, and well-read than his idea of what is normative behavior for 12-year-olds. This reviewer, on the other hand, unapologetically seizes the counter-the-culture opportunity.
But if Wilonsky was being snarky, I wonder if he knows that the movie's teen star - Emma Roberts (pictured as Miss Drew in the photo) - is currently "homeschooled."
