Jonah Goldberg gets a "B-" for this editorial. Not bad, even if his ideas about taxpayer funding and mandated education need to be tweaked. (Query to Jonah: Would this be your idea of a decent charter school?)
Even if the libs at C&L don't care for the piece, I like their idea of making this cause the Next Big Thing. Getting the grassroots to raise a ruckus over lame government schools like they did with the 'McCain-Feingold-Kennedy' immigration bill would make for a loud, exciting, and nasty national debate. Let's roll!
Update: Mike Tennant sees through some of the fuzzy, emotional thinking in Dr. Williams' column. I think Mike would come to the same conclusions about the Goldberg piece.
