The Homeschooling Revolution

April 09, 2007

Long-Lost Youth, Long-Lost Principles, Lonnnnnng Swim

+ This one is for "Leave it to Beaver" diehards. Scroll down for a photo of Eddie, Beaver, and Wally, circa 2007

+ A Daily Mail article that belongs in the "From Rule of Law to Police State" file. An 11-year-old used the word "gay," via e-mail, to describe a classmate. Then the cops showed up at his house. His parents are livid.

+ Now file this one under "From Rule of Law to Sharia Law." In Germany, a female judge decided that an abusive husband has the "right to castigate" his wife. Fortunately, the wife's female lawyer squawked.

+ Arizona State University pointedly promotes the cause of American sovereignty the North American Union.

+ This could be an ideal work-from-home job for the person who has a bent for fact-checking and details, and wants to get involved in the anti-animal cruelty cause.

+ Leslie Bennetts, Spin Sister sorority member, has authored The Feminine Mistake. She warns women about the economic "dangers" of giving up day jobs to become SAHMs.

+ Judy A. passes along a lovely column by a prof. who is helping homeschool his teen daughter.

+ Despite the cramps, insomnia, larvae infections, dehydration, and other icky ailments, he did it!
