"Ten Good Reasons to Keep Your Child in Public School"
John Pellegrino sends a Joel Turtel column which jazzes up several familiar arguments.
For reason number 2, Joel writes:
"Public schools can wreck your child’s ability to do math, with 'fuzzy' math curriculums. But that’s a good thing. That way, your child will not strive to be a scientist or engineer and make a lot of money. Having a lot of money causes stress, and you don’t want your kids to be stressed in life, do you?"
A smart-aleck could do the homeschool version of the Big Ten.
But it won't be this writer. I'd like to shake Mary Ryan's hand. She gets quoted (and, boy does she have strong opinions) several times in this columinst's mea culpa toward Rhode Island home scholars.
