Concerned that their children are suffering from nature-deficit syndrome, parents, educators, and legislators are finding ways to fill the void.
Some commendable, some less so.
The daily opportunity to participate in hours of outside play and outdoor activities makes my 'top ten reasons to homeschool' list. We are glad to have had that lifestyle for many years, although both my grown sons are in a 'city slicker phase' which means they have zero interest in wildernessing.
