The Homeschooling Revolution

Playing the Parent Card

Publicly-funded charter schools aren't my cuppa zuppa. But I wouldn't join Team Tools of the State to oppose one, either.

The oiliness of their concerns grates: "Opponents of a new charter school moving into the area spoke at the hearing citing a draining of funds from existing public schools in the area as well drawing away students and parents from the Amherst area - 'parents whose energy and involvement we need in order to ensure the long-term success of our program,' Amherst Regional School Committee chairwoman Elaine Brighty said in a prepared statement."

Give that woman an Emmy for her performance in the category of "Obsequious Fawning by an Educrat."
