This one is for the naive who think that the publicly-financed charter school movement mostly churns out "nice" patriotic, classical, or math schools (altho. it's never nice to redistribute other people's wealth).
As expected, those looking to make a fast buck and a splash in the Nuevo America, will also successfully exploit this edu-scheme. Perfect example: The Unidos Dual Language Charter School of Clayton County, Georgia. Behold the mission statement: "If Unidos' charter is approved this year it will become the first Dual Language Immersion Charter School in the state of Georgia. The first public school to teach in both English and Spanish; the first school to embrace the values of bilingualism, biliteracy, and multiculturalism." Behold the goal: "Be well-prepared to live and thrive in the international community."
Relevant, si. Absurd, si, si. Mass-produced bilingual ed. has been a disaster in this country.
