My Play-Doh is Tonier Than Your Play-Doh

Konk (who has retired from blogging) sent me a link to the Nightline series called "Cutthroat Preschools." Words may fail you as you watch these misguided Manhattan parents pour much energy and angst into tracking down a spot in an expensive nursery school for their toddlers.

Bright spot: Martin Bashir, the interviewer for this series, is always a captivating watch. He's mastered the art of asking pointed questions, in a non-confrontational manner, and has a speaking voice that is easy on the ears.

In the photo: Equally captivating is Konk's youngest daughter as she happily hobknobs with a fancy chicken. Thankfully, there's no cutthroat preschool, in a bustling metropolis, in this little home girl's immediate future.
