The Homeschooling Revolution

A Mother's Work is Akin to a Top Manager's Job

Dave Lone Ranger sent along this CNN.money article which deconstructs the "competitive market value" for the tasks performed by the average SAHM. According to researchers at Salary.com: " ... a stay-at-home mother might be paid as much as $134,121 for her contributions as a housekeeper, cook, day care center teacher, janitor and CEO, among other functions."

Imagine if these number-crunchers had added in the extra services that homeschooling moms perform, year after year.

Who'll make it 21 1/2? In totally unrelated news (and because I don't feel like creating a separate category), Massachusetts legislators are toying with the idea of raising the driving age for teens to 17 1/2. Go here.
