The Homeschooling Revolution

June 06, 2005

The 18-Year Sentence

Mama Bear, who misses aspects of everyday life in the Northeast (Me, too!), struggles to make sense of her own formal education.

But there's a rainbow: "Raising my children is one of those causes where I am extremely influential. I have come to the conclusion that I while I homeschool for a variety of reasons including safety, flexibility, positive socialization and the belief that one-on-one teaching is far superior to most classroom settings, as well as the expanded learning opportunities it affords, my primary reason is to keep my children out of a system designed to instill mediocrity."

Homeschooling: A family-restoration movement, not just another educational choice.
