No Faith Required

Mr. Bill O'Reilly had, on his TV show, a pair of guests affiliated with an after-school, faith-based chastity ed. program called the Silver Ring Thing.

The ACLU is annoyed because this evangelical group receives many simoleons from the Department of Health and Human Services. How much pilfered, unconstitutional money?

Answers.com: "Initially, SRT was funded entirely by private sources, but beginning in 2003, SRT began receiving money from the federal faith-based initiatives program. As of 2004, SRT has received more than US $1,100,000 in U.S. government federal funding."

SRT founder Denny Pattyn, a youth minister, told Bill, "(We) follow the guidance we've gotten from the federal government quite respectfully."
