This seems fishy. After seven years of participation, a homeschool speech and debate team group "can no longer compete in tournaments because they are not members of the New Mexico Activities Association. And, as home-schoolers, they can't become members under the current regulations."
In somewhat the same vein, parents in Texas are upset that their (homeschool) children are being denied the opportunity to participate in "a joint 4-H/Future Farmers of America livestock show."
You supply the rant or rave. My head spins pondering all the driving that modern homeschool parents do to get their youngsters to these activities.
